Hendrick's adds cucumber and Bulgarian rose after distillation, which is why it smells unlike any other gin on the shelf. It is made in Scotland in two very different stills, then blended.

The one thing that matters
The rose and cucumber against Campari's bitter orange makes an unusual negroni. It is softer and more perfumed than the classic. Some people love it, some want their Sapphire back.
It makes an unusual one. The cucumber and rose soften the drink and add perfume, which is either a revelation or a distraction depending on taste. Worth trying once.
Orange for the classic. With Hendrick's, a cucumber ribbon plays to the gin instead. Both are defensible.
