British · Hendrick's
Hendrick's adds cucumber and Bulgarian rose after distillation, which is why it smells unlike any other gin on the shelf. It is blended from two very different stills in Scotland, one of which dates to 1860.

The one thing that matters
Garnish with cucumber, not lime. The citrus fights the rose. Three thin ribbons of cucumber down the inside of the glass is how the distillery serves it.
With cucumber instead of lime. Hendrick's is built on cucumber and rose, and a lime wedge flattens both. Fill the glass with ice, two ounces of gin, top with tonic, then lay three thin cucumber ribbons inside the glass.
About 170 to 200 with full-sugar tonic, and the tonic is nearly all of it. The gin itself is around 110 calories for a two-ounce pour.
For a gin and tonic, only if you like the cucumber and rose character. It is a genuinely different drink, not a better version of the same one. If you want a clean classic G and T, Bombay costs less and does it well.
