Tito's Bloody Mary
A bloody mary is tomato, horseradish, pepper and salt. Almost nothing about the vodka survives that, which is exactly why Tito's is the sensible choice: clean, corn-based, and not expensive.

Ingredients
- Tito's Handmade Vodka 750ml
- 4 to 5 oz bloody mary mix
- Squeeze of fresh lemon
- Celery salt or chilli salt for the rim
- Ice, celery stick, olives, lemon wedge
Method
- Rim a tall glass with lemon and celery salt, then fill it with ice.
- Add the vodka, then the mix, then a squeeze of lemon.
- Roll it: pour it between two glasses three or four times. Shaking makes tomato juice foamy and thin.
- Garnish heavily. Celery, olives, a pickle, a lemon wedge.

Spend the money you save on the mix instead. That is where the drink is actually decided.
Questions
Does the vodka matter in a bloody mary?
Barely. Tomato juice, horseradish and pepper overwhelm almost any vodka. Buy something clean and mid-priced like Tito's and put the money into a better mix.
Why roll a bloody mary instead of shaking it?
Shaking aerates tomato juice and turns it foamy and thin. Rolling it between two glasses mixes just as well and keeps the body.
